Our Echolink node requires time and money to maintain. Please consider sending a donation to support it.
EchoLink Usage Rules:
1) Stations with emergency or priority traffic have top priority, followed by mobile stations, fixed stations using RF, and Echolink users - in that order.
2) Never, EVER call CQ on our node, whether outbound or inbound. In fact, calling CQ on Echolink or repeaters is completely unnecessary since you are connected to a known communications path. Simply give your callsign followed by "monitoring". Our repeater users have been instructed to disconnect any user that calls CQ. Repeated violations will result in you being banned.
3) Connections from foreign countries are not allowed. Repeaters are not for working DX. I have HF capabilities and I will be glad to work any DX I hear on those bands. Especially 17 meters. But not on our repeaters.
4) Do not link to any repeater that sends a tail carrier or courtesy tone through EchoLink. This causes problems and will require that node owner properly configures the repeater before we allow connections to it in the future.
5) Local users- please allow the courtesy tone to be fully heard before transmitting. This allows other stations, including EchoLink users, to break in if necessary. It also allows the time-out timer to reset. To join a conversation, please simply give your callsign and wait to be acknowledged. Do not yell "CONTACT".
6) New rules may be added at any time as deemed necessary. Please check back here often.
